Eco Friendly Car Bags

With the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Vice-President of the Ministerial Council, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Services, with regards to the ministerial decree No. (5/77) for the year 2009 on establishing a program to reduce non-Biodegradable plastic bags, the Ministry of Environment and Water launched the initiative of UAE free of plastic bags to ensure the conservation of natural resources and achieving environmental security in the country.

Vision:-

Provide free service to the public and give the chance for all car owners and drivers to keep their cars clean by using eco-friendly bags.

Distribution of bags will be done through several places, but mainly through petrol stations deployed in the UAE free of charge to owners of cars during the process of mobilization of petrol for their cars.

Highlight the role of the Ministry of Environment and all Municipalities in the UAE to provide the best services to the public and promote action to educate the public to preserve the environment.

Fostering a sense of self-responsibility of the public to maintain hygiene and contributing to a continuing evolution to get to the best climate in the environmental UAE.

Distribution will include all the emirates to cover all segments of society and the quantity of each edition will be 200,000 bags and booklets.

A booklet will be placed inside each bag containing the awareness and educational bulletins from the Ministry of Environment, Traffic Department of Dubai Police, and the Emirates Society for Consumer Protection.
